We'll explain how to manage refunds or returns of payments for tickets, workshop-type sessions or products of attendees
IMPORTANT ❗At the moment, only the Meetmaps team can issue refunds. Therefore, contact Meetmaps in case you need to process one.
Also note that a partial refund of payments is not possible.
REMINDER 💡: There are three types of payments possible within the Meetmaps platform:
- Ticket sales (only in the registration form).

EXAMPLES:
CASE 1 🍂: the assistant purchases through the registration form:
- 1 ticket to the event (€10)
- 1 workshop-type session (€20)
- 1 product (€25)
Refund: the only possible refund is the total (€55), since there is only one payment of €55.
CASE 2 🍃: the assistant purchases through the registration form:
- 1 ticket to the event (€10)
- 1 product (€25)
- 1 workshop-type session (€20)
Refund: in this case there are two different payments and two refunds can be made: €35 (payment made in the registration form) and €20 for the workshop-type session.
What happens when we make a refund?
When we manage the refund at Meetmaps we have two options:
Option 1 🍏: the purchased products are again on sale and the attendee is also deleted from the Attendee List, so they will not be able to access the event.
Additionally, this attendee can re-register for the event through the registration form.❗
Example: the attendee purchases 1 ticket to the event + 1 workshop-type session. When you make the refund, both the ticket and the workshop-style session are again available for another attendee to purchase. And this attendee disappears from Attendee List.
Option 2 🍎: Only the payment is refunded and the attendee is still on the Attendee List, so they will be able to access the event.
Additionally, this attendee will not be able to register for the event again through the registration form❗
Example: the attendee purchases 1 ticket to the event. When making the refund, the user receives the refund. This attendee will still appear in the Attendee List.
IMPORTANT ❗ There is a commission for managing the payments (3% or 5% depending on your license). Therefore, it is necessary to have a minimum balance for the refund.

At the moment, the proof we can provide would be through an automatic email.
