Native Branded App Creation Guide

In this article, we will explain all the steps to follow to create the Native Branded App for your event

To create and publish an App with Meetmaps, there are a couple of actions that the organizer must follow so that Meetmaps can upload them to the Android and iOS stores.

We recommend starting with the process as soon as possible, as the process does not solely rely upon Meetmaps but Google and Apple too, and the process can suffer delays.

We recommend starting the process two months before the event takes place.

IMPORTANT❗: Before getting into the different steps, it is necessary to take into account that only the owning company of the event can create the App in the Android and iOS accounts, never a third party. If not, there is a real possibility of the app being rejected due to intellectual property rights. Therefore, if you are an agency working for a final client, you will have to ask them to do steps 1 and 2, which will appear below.

Steps to follow:

👉 Create developer accounts: Creating an Andriod and iOS developer account is a must. If you are not acquainted with this process, do not worry. Find attached below two articles that explain how to do this process:
- Android: How to create an Android Developer Account?
- iOS: How to create an Apple Developer Account?

TIMINGS: For Android, this process can be donde at the moment, but for an iOS account, you have to wait for Apple´s validation, which can last from 2 to 4 weeks

👉 Turn Meetmaps into the account's administrator: Once the step above is complete, Meetmaps must become the account's administrator through the apps@meetmaps.com email. To know how to conduct this step:
- Android: How to publish the App of an event with an Android Developer Account?
- iOS: How to publish the App of an event with an Apple Developer Account

TIMINGS: This process can be done at the moment for both Android and iOS account.

IMPORTANT ❗Contact Meetmaps to check that we have received the permits, since we do not received any notification in this regard.

👉 App's Branding:
To conclude the native app's configuration, you will have to send us the different materials specified in the App's Branding Guide.

TIMINGS: Once we have access to the accounts and the guide´s content, we will publish the App for Android and iOS. Both platforms will start a revision phase of the App that will last approximately one week.
