In this article, we will explain all the steps to follow to create the branded App for your event
To create and publish an App with Meetmaps, there are a couple of actions that the organizer must follow so that Meetmaps can upload them to the Android and iOS stores.
We recommend starting with the process as soon as possible, as the process does not solely rely upon Meetmaps but Google and Apple too, and the process can suffer delays.
IMPORTANT❗Before getting into the different steps, it is necessary to take into account that only the owning company of the event can create the App in the Android and iOS accounts, never a third party. If not, there is a real possibility of the app being rejected due to intellectual property rights. Therefore, if you are an agency working for a final client, you will have to ask them to do steps 1 and 2, which will appear below.
Steps to follow:
1👉 Create developer accounts: Creating an Android and iOS developer account is a must. If you are not acquainted with this process, do not worry. Find attached below two articles that explain how to do this process:
- Android: How to create an Android Developer Account?
- iOS: How to create an Apple Developer Account?
2👉 Turn Meetmaps into the account's administrator: Once the step above is complete, Meetmaps must become the account's administrator through the apps@meetmaps.com email. To know how to conduct this step:
- Android: How to publish the App of an event with an Android Developer Account?
- iOS: How to publish the App of an event with an Apple Developer Account
IMPORTANT ❗Contact Meetmaps to check that we have received the permits, since we do not received any notification in this regard.
3👉 App's Branding: To conclude the branded App's configuration, you will have to send us the different materials specified in the Branded App Branding Guide.
⏰ TIMINGS: Once we have access to the accounts (point 2) and you provide us with the Branding (point 3), Meetmaps will publish the application for Android and iOS.
Once this is done, both stores (Apple and Android) will begin a review phase before publishing the app, which can take about 2 weeks or more, depending on the case, especially for the first publication.
This process is external to Meetmaps and depends solely on the stores, so we cannot influence its duration. Depending on the time of year (holidays, periods with high workload for Apple and Android), the duration may vary.
