Send a test to your email account to see how the email is configured and verify how it will reach the users before scheduling the automated mailing
It is essential that before programming an automated email, you send a test to your email to verify how it is seen from your mailbox and validate that it is displayed correctly.
To send an automated email test follow these steps:
- Go to the Emails module in the side menu, select the Automated tab and scroll down to find the "My emails" section. In this section you will find the emails you have already created. If you still don't know how to create these emails, follow the steps you'll find in the article 👉 How to create an email from templates? Discover the Email Builder.
💡You can also create emails using HTML code.
- Click on the blue "Send test" button to send you a test email.
- Then, a pop-up window will open where you will have to write the email address to which you want to send the test and choose the version you want to send (English, Spanish or Catalan) and click on send.
PRO-TIP 💡: When you receive the test in your email, check that the links or buttons work correctly.
Congratulations! You have now learned how to send yourself a test 🚀. You can repeat the process as many times as you need. The important thing is to make sure that the email is properly configured before scheduling the sending.
REMEMBER 📢: you can click on the Edit button to modify the email.
❗IMPORTANT❗ Do not be alarmed when you see the variables written in the test, as when you link the automated mail at the time of sending, the variables will be customized with the information from the attendee. The reason behind the test not modifying the content of the variables is because the test sending is not linked to any user and, therefore, cannot read or generate the information to be customized.
