### What are workshop-type sessions?

Workshop-type sessions are designed to **limit the number of registrants** to a limited number of attendees.

**IMPORTANT** ❗Please note that this type of agenda sessions is only available with certain licenses. Contact the Meetmaps team if you're interested in them.

### How are they configured?

1\. In **App  & Web \> Agenda** create a workshop type session.

![Screenshot\_22-7-2025\_92148\_admin.meetmaps.com](https://help.meetmaps.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot_22-7-2025_92148_admin.meetmaps.com.jpeg?width=670&height=310&name=Screenshot_22-7-2025_92148_admin.meetmaps.com.jpeg)

2\. Fill in all the details you want to include in the session.

3\. In the **“Session Configuration”** section, you'll have various customization options:

![Screenshot\_22-7-2025\_92344\_admin.meetmaps.com](https://help.meetmaps.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot_22-7-2025_92344_admin.meetmaps.com.jpeg?width=670&height=308&name=Screenshot_22-7-2025_92344_admin.meetmaps.com.jpeg)

4\. In the **"Session registration limit"** space, select a maximum number of attendees that can register to the session.

![Screenshot\_22-7-2025\_92344\_admin.meetmaps.com-1](https://help.meetmaps.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot_22-7-2025_92344_admin.meetmaps.com-1.jpeg?width=670&height=308&name=Screenshot_22-7-2025_92344_admin.meetmaps.com-1.jpeg)

**IMPORTANT❗**Once you have created the workshop-type session, you will only be able to increase the number of attendees, not decrease.

- **Waitlist:** You can use attendee validation. Here we explain how 👉 [How to Manage a Waiting List Using "inscription validation " in the Registration Form](https://help.meetmaps.com/en/how-to-manage-a-waiting-list-using-registration-validation-in-the-registration-form?hsLang=en)

- **Registration options:**
    - **Allow registration from the event registration form:** attendees can register from the form.

**IMPORTANT❗**You will need to have a ticket (free or priced) so that the workshop agenda session can be purchased from the registration form.

- - **Allow registration from the agenda:** attendees can also be added to the waitlist via the App and Web if you've activated it.
*(This option is only available for the Web's "**Standard Display"** mode, which is set up in **App & Web \> Agenda \> Settings**)*

**IMPORTANT**❗Activate these switches if you want to prevent attendees from:

- **Limit the registration to multiple sessions in the same time slot:** this applies to the registration of [**workshop sessions**](https://help.meetmaps.com/en/what-are-workshop-agenda-sessions) in the agenda, through the App or Web.
- Define the minimum and maximum number of sessions an attendee can sign up for during the **entire event**, and on a **single day** of the event.
